The Westchester Park Tennis and Pickleball community, in conjunction with Westchester Park Friends, is hosting The First Annual, Les Watt Memorial Tennis and Pickleball Tournament, followed by a Casino Night Awards Dinner.
We have reserved ALL the tennis and pickleball courts for the entire day on Saturday November 16th. People will be coming and going all day followed by a Casino Night, Live Band, Awards Dinner at the Westchester Elks Lodge in Playa del Rey.
Registration is $80 per player – you get entry to the Tournament and to the Casino Night Dinner! Contact [email protected] if you would like to bring your significant other to the dinner for an additional $50
If you did not know Les but enjoy Westchester Park and in particular the tennis/pickleball courts, you are benefiting from his big heart, generosity and hard work. Les played tennis and organized tennis at Westchester Park for over 20 years. Les was also on the Park Advisory Board for many years and was the main force in updating the courts in 2014. The improved lighting is still there today. Les was beloved by all, and we want to celebrate his legacy.
In the spirit of Les’ love for the park and his commitment to make it a better place, the current Park Advisory Board established Westchester Park Friends, to raise money for improving Westchester Park. The Les Watt Memorial Tennis & Pickleball Tournament will donate proceeds to Westchester Park Friends through the LA Parks Foundation (501c3). All donations to Westchester Park Friends go ONLY to Westchester Park.
